While in Austin, TX for a killer wedding (check out Tinywater Photography for it!), we stayed at Stephanie’s place. Stephanie was an awesome hostess and is an awesome woman. She also has some pretty awesome furries in her pack. Jack, Foozie, Tucker and Gilbert!

Cody, the beautiful shepherd x cattle dog mix, gets all the love and attention from his parents, Sylvia and Mike. He loves digging into the sand and running up sand dunes with his dad. He bows for his mom and poses elegantly for us. Hop on over to the Tinywater Blog to see more of the family portraits of Cody, Sylvia and Mike!

How do you tell the heart what it does not want to hear? And how do you say goodbye to your dearest friend? How do you muster the wisdom and courage to make such decisions? These are the things that I admire Chris for, for being a loving guardian, owner and friend. I looked into Shoney’s eyes, old and experienced, and saw his gentle soul. I saw him smile a little today at the beach in Chris’ and Hayden’s arms. I watched him hold his nose up to sniff the ocean air. I know Shoney is forever loved and will forever be missed.
